Please join Preservation Alliance of Baltimore County and the caretakers of Prospect Hill Cemetery on June 10th at 10:30 AM to stroll through the cemetery’s historic park-like grounds and step into Baltimore County history.
A six-acre, green oasis in the heart of Towson, founded in 1892, the cemetery is the final resting place of some of Baltimore County’s most prominent & interesting citizens.
Nestled in the heart of Towson’s business district, historic Prospect Hill Cemetery is the highest elevation & largest green space in the town’s central core. The cemetery is the final resting place of people from all walks and stations of life – some of Baltimore County’s most prominent & interesting citizens. Within the park-like grounds are families with familiar names such as Hillen, Burke, Campbell, Jarrett & Bayne. Formally organized in 1892, the property is also an active non-profit cemetery business, managed by an all-volunteer board, that still has lots available to purchase for future generations.
Proceeds will go towards Preservation Alliance’s Grant Fund for repair/restoration to homes of limited income Senior Citizen historic homeowners & the upkeep of Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Space is limited to 25 participants.
