Stewardship of Our Trees

Board member Roger Gookin (right) met recently with an arborist from Scientific Plant Service to assess the health of the cemetery’s Norway spruces. Our trees are an important element of Prospect Hill, not only for their beauty but also for providing shade in Towson’s highly urbanized central core. Another board member, when new to the group, expressed some amazement about how much time the board devotes to discussing the physical upkeep of the property, but Prospect Hill’s trees are an important asset requiring careful stewardship.
