November 6-13, 2020 was declared “Historic Prospect Hill Cemetery Week” in Baltimore County by County Executive John A. Olszewski, Jr. A small ceremony to honor the cemetery’s 128-year history and the life of an even older copper beech tree took place on November 6th. The iconic copper beech is dying and must be taken down shortly, but the wood will be repurposed by Sandtown Furniture Co., which designs and produces custom furniture. More here and here.
